Flannel + Sweater Weather

One of the most popular colors of the fall is burgundy, and it’s one of my favorites to wear during the season. In fact, this cable knit sweater has been in my closet for about two years, and every year I can’t wait to put a spin on it. This year I decided to mix the old with the new.

Pairing a sweater with a button up top is nothing new for me. One of my favorite looks on the blog, Mixed Prints, was featured in this trend. However, pairing a sweater with a flannel is a first. I loved the outcome! This is always the perfect combination to stay warm during fall and winter. (DJS & STYLE tip of the day: As the weather gets cooler, try pairing a sweater with a flannel. Layering is always a chic option for fall or winter.)

This look is always great with a pair of jeans but I wanted to add a different touch, so I decided to style with my faux leather leggings. If you add in a pair of crew socks and ankle boots you’ll have a causal chic look!

DEAL ALERT! The Old Navy flannel featured is 50% off for Black Friday in store. Hurry up and grab one!

I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving!
